WOAH..............WON'T BE HURT AGAIN
STAYING IN MY FORTRESS RIGHT TO THE END

OH NO...........NEVER EVER AGAIN...

CHORUS 2:

WOAH..............WON'T BE CUT NO MORE
STAYING IN MY FORTRESS CLOSING EVERY DOOR
WOAH........WON'T BE CUT NO MORE
OH NO....... WON'T BE CUT NO MORE

VERSE 1:

Amaj7 Cm7
I LAYED MY HEART OUT THERE
WITH EVERY HOT SPOTLIGHT ON IT
Amaj7 Fmaj7
SOME THINGS FOR LOVE JUST AIN'T FAIR
Amaj7 Fmaj7
TELLING TRUTHS AND EVEN LITTLE LIES

VERSE 2:

SOME THINGS FOR LOVE JUST AIN'T FAIR
Amaj7 Fmaj7

Am7 Cm7
SEEMS EASIER TO KEEP THE WALLS UP
THIRTY LOWS FOR EVEN ONE TINY HIGH
Amaj7 Fmaj7
WAY IT GOES 'TILL THE DAY I DIE
Amaj7 Fmaj7
SELLING TRUTHS AND EVEN A COUPLE OF LIES

Pro Review

This song is a nice soft rock/ Jazz fusion with a clever key change and some very fine guitar playing. The singer's voice sits up nice and high in the mix where it should be as this is an excellent voice. The lyrics are sad and heartfelt and they remind me in a sense of Paul Simon's "I Am A Rock".

Story Behind the Song:
Review by THE FLAVOR SPANKS - Parsons and Stone , Atlanta, Georgia, US

I love this fingerpicking sound! Are you a Lindsey Buckingham fan? Very pretty stuff. Nice lead guitar too. I love the chord voicing. Using some open strings in there? This a great song, and your delivery is fine. I wonder if it might have more emotional impact with a female vocal, just because of the imagery of a girl locked away in her castle. Might be useful if pitching it for a movie or TV show. If not, maybe a breathier performance of the vocal. All that being said, I really like the song.
